Heat oil add onions saute till golden and add Ginger garlic paste saute till raw aroma goes away.

Add mutton cook for 5 minutes and add fenugreek leaves/ methi to the mixture. Cook on a low flame.

Add red chilli powder, coriander powder and Turmeric powder and salt cook on a low flame till the oil leaves on side.

In a blender add roughly chopped tomatoes and chopped coconut make a fine paste. Add to the gravy cook on a medium flame for 5 mins.

Pressure cook for 10 minutes. When the pressure released. Cook on a lower flame if the gravy is runny. Serve hot. 

Ingredients

  • Onion 1 large
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Mutton 250gm
  • Salt as needed
  • Chopped coconut 3tsp
  • Redchilli powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek leaves

METHOD

  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker add onion saute till golden add Ginger garlic paste saute till raw aroma goes away.
  • Add mutton saute till the colour changes to pale. Add fenugreek leaves to the mutton. Cook on a low flame.
  • Add Redchilli powder, coriander powder Turmeric powder and salt cook for 5 minutes.
  • Roughly chopped tomatoes and coconut in a mixer make a fine paste add to the gravy cook on a medium flame.
  • Pour water as require to pressure cook for 10 minutes.
  • Once the mutton is done. Cook on a low flame for 5 mins. Serve hot.
