Runner beans are long green beans that are eaten as a vegetables . They are low in calories . They are packed with fiber , Runner beans are a great addition to vegetarian curries . It taste best when small and young with age toughen and becomes stringy.

I have shared step by step method below for easy understanding along with pictures.
In a pressure cooker heat oil add onions saute till the onions are translucent . Add ginger garlic paste saute till the raw aroma goes away.
Add chopped tomatoes, red chili powder , coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt . Saute till the tomatoes turns soft and tender.
Wash and cut off the ends and remove the strings of the sides.
Add them to the onion mixture , pour half cup water, pressure cook for 2 whistle or until tender . As pressure released , open the lid , reduce the excess liquid in a curry on a medium heat . Garnish with chopped coriander leaves . Serve hot with steam rice / Phulka .
INGREDIENTS :
- 200 grams Lab Lab/ runner beans
- 1 Onion
- 1 Tomato
- 1 tbsp. Oil
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tbsp. chopped coriander leaves
- Salt as needed
