Suji Gulab Jamun | Rava Jamun recipe |Jamum without Khoya


Suji Gulab Jamun – Super delicious sooji jamun recipe which is so easy to make and you need only basic ingredients. It taste different from normal jamun but is delicious.

Suji Gulab Jamun


  • 2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp Saffron strands

for jamun:

  • 1 cup suji / rava / semolina (fine)
  • 1 tsp Ghee
  • 3 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp milk powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • oil or ghee for frying


  • In a sauce pan add sugar,water, cardamom and saffron allow to boil until one string consistency. Sugar syrup is ready. Keep aside.
  • In a large pan heat 1 tsp ghee and add 3 cup milk.
  • Add 2 tbsp milk powder and 2 tbsp sugar.
  • stir well and get the milk to a boil.
  • Add 1 cup roasted semolina stir continuously.
  • keep stirring until the semolina absorbs all the milk.
  • cook until the mixture forms a dough and separates the pan.
  • cool the mixture slightly and transfer to a large bowl.
  • grease your hand with ghee and knead for at least 2 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and soft.
  • Divide into small balls.
  • heat the oil on medium flame
  • Fry jamuns until golden brown.
  • Leave for 2 minutes. Then add them into warm sugar syrup.
  • Soak in sugar syrup and rest for 2 hours.
  • Serve warm or cold as per choice.
