Sweet Potato Cheese tikki Recipe

Sweet Potato patties mix with spices stuffed with cheese is flavorful and a perfect snacks in the evening served with a cup of tea or coffee.

I have shared an easy sweet potatoes tikki in step by step method with a detailed pictures below.

In a pressure cooker boil potatoes for 3-4 whistle or until it’s cooked.

Peel the skin of potatoes add in a mixing bowl mash them with a fork.

Add chat masala powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, pepper powder, coriander leaves, salt, bread crumbs and oregano. Mix with all the ingredients. Kneed a soft and pliable dough.

Divide the mixture into equal portions and roll them in a shape of ball and press in the centre, stuffed grated cheese in the centre of tikki. Close the edges roll it in your palm to shape them in a spheres. Lightly press in the centre of stuffed balls to shape it like tikki or patties.

Heat a tawa or non stick pan heat oil place the patties shallow fry the patties few at a time flip both the sides fry until golden brown.

 

METHOD 2: Heat oil in a kadai add patties fry until golden brown. Drain on an absorbent paper.

Serve sweet potato tikki as hot or at room temperature with your favourite chutney or sauce.

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 Sweet potato
  • 1 potato
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon chat powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano ( optional)
  • 2 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • Salt as needed
  • 2-3 cubes grated cheese
  • Oil for frying

INSTRUCTIONS
