Fish finger is super simple and easy to make. The only preparation work that is needed is to boil and mash potatoes, steam and shred the fish.  In this recipe I have used the baked fish that remains in the fridge. You can use any fish (make a paste of red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt and lemon)apply in the fish steam and shred the fish . This is my easy to go recipe for a fish starter or as an accompaniment to fried rice or noodles. This recipe can be prepared in advance.

I have shared a simple fish fingers recipe in step by step method with a detailed pictures below.

In a mixing bowl add mash potatoes, salt, corn flour , pepper powder, red chili powder, soya sauce and shredded fish. Take another two bowls. Fill one with the beaten egg and the other with the breadcrumbs.

Mix well. knead the firm dough. Take 2 tablespoon of the fish mixture and make small patties. Press them in between the palm and make it into a firm patty. Repeat with the remaining mixture. Dip the patties in the eggs and then roll in the breadcrumbs.

In a kadai heat oil Gently place the patties in hot oil and fry them till golden brown.

Serve with mayonnaise and ketchup.

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams steamed and shredded fish
  • 1 large potato
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon pepper powder
  • salt as needed
  • oil for frying
  • 1 beaten egg ( for coating)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs(for coating)

INSTRUCTIONS
