Homemade Egg Mayonnaise Recipe

Mayonnaise is incredibly easy to make at home. It takes less than 15 minutes to make at home. If you care enough about flavor and health factor make your mayo at home with very simple process.

I have shared mayonnaise recipe in step by step method with a detailed pictures below

2 large eggs , 1/2 cup sunflower oil or rice bran oil, 1 squeezed lemon juice and roasted mustard seeds.

 

To get started add eggs to a blender and mustard seeds. Blend for 10 -15 seconds now slowly drizzle oil blend again. The process of adding oil has to be done in 2-3 intervals. Excess oil will spoil the texture . Mayo must be creamier and slightly thicker.

Add lemon juice or venigar mix well. Then its done!

Once it’s done you can store mayonnaise in an airtight container . You can refrigerate for up to 3 days.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 large eggs

  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 sueezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard seeds

INSTRUCTIONS

Recipe note

  • Place the eggs at room temperature before start making. If your eggs are chill put the eggs in warm water for about 5 minutes.
  • I have used ground black roasted mustard seeds as a substisute for Dijon mustard. I did not find Dijon mustard. You can use Dijon mustard as required for the recipe.
