Garlic bread Recipe

Garlic bread is so amazing recipe and it’s easy to make at home. You’ll find yourself making again and again.

Garlic bread is a favorite for everyone and I’ve bought the foil wrapped loaves at the grocery forever. Now I make my own and it tastes so much better (plus I make sure the garlic butter goes all the way to the edges)! Nearly every supermarket or corner store sells baguettes or loaves of fresh bread and they’re inexpensive. Making your own thick sliced homemade garlic bread is a snap and it makes the whole kitchen smell oh-so-good!

I have shared garlic bread in step by step method with a detailed picture below.

In a mixing bowl add lukewarm water , active dry yeast, salt and sugar. Let it sit for 10 minutes. Add all purpose flour work with your fingers until you’ve formed a floury shaggy dough.

Add salt, begin to knead a dough now add olive oil or sunflower oil knead a soft and firm dough.

Cover the dough with a lid , place in a warm place to rise the dough for atleast 1 or 2 hours.

Divide the dough in half, sprinkle red chili flakes and oregano.

Crushed the garlic.

In a small bowl add crushed garlic, butter and oregano.

Roll the dough with a rolling pin apply with butter, garlic and red chili flakes.

Add grated cheese In the centre.

Cover the bread, seal the edges by pressing on all sides.

Place the garlic bread in a baking tray.

Pre heat the oven for 180 degree, place the garlic bread and bake at 250 degree for 15 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown.

Remove from the oven serve immediately.

INGREDIENTS

For the dough

  • 2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt as needed
  • 2 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup lukewarm water

For seasoning and stuffing

  • 1/2 cup grated mozarella cheese
  • 2 teaspoon oregano
  • 2 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 5-6 garlic
