Chicken Kathi Rolls are a delicious wraps stuff with a spicy chicken lined with a simple omelette. Kathi Rolls are good for a brunch or for tiffin box . Preparing Kathi Rolls from scratch takes time. I have shared chicken Kathi roll recipe in step by step method with a detailed pictures below.

In a mixing bowl add ginger garlic paste,salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, lemon, orange food colour, and chicken 65 masala powder. Wash the chicken and squeeze the chicken to remove the excess water add them to the spices mix well marinate for atleast 20- 30 minutes.

Meanwhile will prepare the paratha..In a bowl combine whole wheat flour, all purpose flour, salt and water to knead a smooth and firm dough. Let it rest for 15 minutes. Divide the dough into small portions dust with the flour.

Gently roll to the thin roti. Place the roti in a hot tawa cook the base till you see the bubbles in a roti or the roti is 1/2 cooked. Flip the roti spread oil cook from both the sides.  Keep the roti in a roti basket or in a warm casserole. Prepare all the roti this way.

Heat oil in a kadai add the marinated chicken fry on a medium flame till the chicken turns crisp.

Fry the rest of the chicken in batches.

In a bowl add eggs, salt whisk well in a fork. Heat oil in a tawa now add the beaten eggs.

once the eggs cook from one side place the roti on top of the omelette.

Flip to the other side.

place the roti add chicken filing, onions, garlic sauce.

Roll it in a butter paper or in aluminium foil.

Serve chicken Kathi Rolls plain as they taste good the way they are or you can accompany with green chutney or ketchup by the side.

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 gram boneless chicken
  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste

  • a pinch of orange red food colour
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder

For the dough

  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • Salt as needed
  • Water

For the filings

  • 5-6 eggs
